The conference brought together a large number of participants from the world of politics, the scientific community, the media, the non-governmental sector and the business community from Central European countries and countries of the Global South.

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Marina Ragus was the keynote speaker in the debate on "Political Perspectives and Strategic Choices in the New Global Arena".

Former President and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, former Prime Minister of Slovakia, Jan Charnogursky, Member of the Hungarian Parliament, Balazs Orban, and the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian National Agency, Khalil Halilu, also spoke in the introductory part of the debate, as did the Director of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Wang Wen, via video message.

In her speech, Marina Ragus emphasised the importance of preserving sovereign politics, respecting international law and the Charter of the United Nations. At the beginning of her speech, she thanked Milos Zeman and Jan Charnogursky for the principled positions and support in preserving our territorial integrity. She reminded the participants of the Conference of the illegitimate NATO aggression against our country in 1999 and stressed that to this day we are still fighting to preserve the territorial integrity and sovereignty, which defines our independent politics.

Deputy Speaker Ragus pointed to the fundamental changes in our country since 2012, especially the stabilisation of the financial situation thanks to the reforms and policies of Aleksandar Vucic. She pointed to the economic indicators that speak of Serbia's economic stability. She particularly referred to the successful economic cooperation with China and current investment projects, but also reminded that Serbia is a candidate for membership in the European Union, has established a strategic dialogue with the USA and has not imposed sanctions on Russia. Finally, Serbia today, under the leadership of President Aleksandar Vucic, has no problem with any great power: "All of this is the result of the wise and sovereign policy of Aleksandar Vucic, responsible only to its citizens," concluded Ragus.
