National Assembly Speaker Visits Science and Technology Park in Nis

During her visit to the Science and Technology Park in Nis, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, said that the dynamic growth of the IT sector continues, and that the latest information shows that in the first five months of this year, exports from the ICT sector amounted to more than 1.8 billion euros, which is a 17% inter-year growth.

"If this trend continues, this year the total exports of the ICT sector will be almost five billion euros. Just 13 years ago, the annual exports of the ICT sector were 375 million euros (13 times less). As the Speaker of the National Assembly, in the coming weeks I will initiate that members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society visit the sites and determine how the construction of new science and technology parks in Serbia - in Kragujevac, Cacak, Nis and Krusevac - is progressing," Brnabic said.

She added that it is time to work on a new development plan - Serbia 2035.

"It is time to turn back to work and victories and, after we have put an end to the blockade terror, to put an end to divisions and start working with President Aleksandar Vucic on a new development plan, Serbia 2035," said the National Assembly Speaker.
