The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam, and on the occasion stated:
"Today I had the opportunity to meet with the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam.
This is the first visit by a high-ranking Singaporean official to Serbia in decades and a strong signal of mutual readiness to further strengthen political dialogue, institutional cooperation and comprehensive relations between our two countries. At the same time, the visit confirms that Serbia is increasingly positioning itself as a credible and reliable partner in the international community, open to cooperation with the most developed and dynamic countries in the world.
During the conversation, we discussed opportunities for improving cooperation between Serbia and Singapore, with a particular focus on cybersecurity, as well as strengthening partnerships in the areas of the ICT sector and artificial intelligence, along with exchanging experiences in these important areas.
This visit opens a new chapter in the relations between Serbia and Singapore and confirms Serbia's commitment to continue strengthening its position and reputation internationally through a responsible and active foreign policy."
