During the visit, the National Assembly delegation talked to representatives of the majority of political parties at the Dutch Parliament. The Serbian delegation had several meetings with high dignitaries of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs viz. Political Affairs Director-General Peter de Hyer, Director for Southeast and Eastern Europe Casper Veldkamp, as well as the coordinator of the Western Balkans Division, Ard van der Vorst.

The meetings focused on furthering relations between the two countries, particularly in the sphere of politics and economy, as well as culture and education. They also touched upon Serbia’s accession to the European Union and visa liberalisation for Serbia.

The National Assembly delegation members highlighted the importance of the relationship with the Kingdom of Holland and reminded the officials of Serbia’s strong determination to pursue European integration. They pointed out how important the continuity of the Euro-integration process is for Serbia, also mentioning that blocking the process is both detrimental and counterproductive.
