MPs Talk to Chinese Economic-Political Delegation

MPs Marijan Risticevic, Veroljub Arsic, Miodrag Nikolic and Milovan Drecun met today at the National Assembly House with the members of a Chinese economic-political delegation comprising the representatives of the biggest national company in China - China National Machinery Industry Corporation - China National Electric Engineering Co. Ltd. - China National Electric Engineering Technology Co. Ltd. (SINOMACH - CNEEC – CNEETC), currently in a working visit to the Republic of Serbia.

The meeting focused on the economic cooperation between Serbia and China and investment into the construction of industrial zones in Serbia. The MPs stressed that Serbia has considerable potential for agricultural development, as well as the production of agricultural and food processing machines and spoke about the significance of Chinese investments to this end. They also emphasised the role the National Assembly plays in creating an environment conducive to foreign investment by passing laws which would remove the administrative obstacles and simplify procedures for foreign investors.
The officials agreed that there is also room for cooperation in the production of renewable energy sources, especially the use of biomass for power production.
