Head of PFG with Germany Talks to Konrad Adenauer Foundation Director
The Head of the PFG with Germany Vesna Markovic met today with the Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Serbia (KAS), Norbert Beckmann-Dierkes, to discuss the cooperation between the National Assembly and KAS.
The officials opined that the Brussels meeting was very important for the resolution of the migrant crisis in Europe.
“Serbia wants to be part of the common solution to the migrant crisis and as an EU candidate country shoulder its part of the responsibility”, stressed Markovic.
They also discussed organising a return visit of the members of the Bundestag’s friendship group with Serbia to Belgrade at the beginning of next year, and highlighted the importance of the Berlin Process for the region. They concluded that it would be more than useful to include the parliamentarians in this process which gathers the leaders of the countries in the region and aims to promote bilateral relations between the countries in the region.
The KAS Director also commended Serbia’s attitude toward national minorities and stressed that Serbia is a good example of how different national communities can live together in one area.
