Forty-Ninth Sitting of the Committee on Defense and Security
At the sitting held on 27 December, the Committee on Defense and Security considered the Bill amending and modifying the Road Traffic Safety Law.
The Committee endorsed the Bill, in principle, by a majority of votes. In the course of the debate on the particulars, the Committee submitted two amendments of its own to the Bill, while none of the 21 amendments submitted by the MPs had been accepted.
The Committee members considered and endorsed the Proposal of the Decision on the creation of a Commission to monitor the execution of the National Action Plan for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 – Women, Peace and Security in the Republic of Serbia (2010-2015), submitted by MP Gordana Comic. She explained the reasons why the Commission should be created, and the Committee appointed MP Meho Omerovic to follow the realisation of the decision.
