The delegation met with the Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly’s European Affairs and Oversight of European Funds Committee Svetlen Tanchev and Committee deputy chairpersons Ivan Ivanov and Slavi Binev, as well as Yavor Notev, Vice-President of the Bulgarian National Assembly. The Committee members also met with Ognian Zlatev, Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria.

They also had meetings with Meglena Kuneva Deputy Prime Minister of European Policies Coordination and Institutional Affairs, and Tomislav Donchev, Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Economic Policies.

On Tuesday, 31 March 2015, the delegation members took part in the session of the Bulgarian National Assembly’s European Affairs and Oversight of European Funds Committee.

In all the meetings, the participants highlighted Bulgaria’s political and technical support of Serbia’s European integration. The efforts two governments put into the construction of road corridors and strengthening economic cooperation were also emphasised. The two committees agreed to continue their cooperation by organising a return visit of the Bulgarian National Assembly’s European Affairs and Oversight of European Funds Committee to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
