Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals Sasa Dujovic and Deputy Chairman Kenan Hajdarevic received the Dean of the Faculty for Security Studies of the University of Belgrade, Prof. Dr Vladimir Cvetkovic. They met because of the petition submitted to the Committee by the students of the Faculty regarding a passage from the book The Ethics of War.

According to the Dean, the chrestomathy is not part of mandatory literature i.e. a textbook, but is being used as wider literature for practice sessions where students exchange their views. The disputed passage in the book that the students warn against can be removed in the next edition.

Accepting Dean Cvetkovic’s arguments, Sasa Dujovic and Kenan Hajdarevic decided to brief National Assembly Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic on the details of the meeting as the petition was originally sent to her, as well as Minister of Education Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic.
