55th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 17 December, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government discussed, in detail, the Bill on Enforcement and Security, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Notaries, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Organisation of Courts, Bill amending the Law on Judges, Bill amending the Law on Public Prosecution, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the High Judicial Council, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the State Prosecutorial Council, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Judicial Academy and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Court Fees.


To the Bill on Enforcement and Security the MPs and Ombudsman submitted 141 amendments, out of which the Government and the Committee accepted 14. The Committee also submitted an amendment of its own to Article 28 of the Bill on Enforcement and Security.

Out of the 104 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Notaries, the Government and the Committee accepted six.

The Government and the Committee accepted neither of the two amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Organisation of Courts.

The Government and the Committee accepted two of the five amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Judges.

The MPs had submitted eight amendments to the Bill amending the Law on Public Prosecution, out of which the Government and the Committee accepted two.

The Government and the Committee accepted none of the five amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the High Judicial Council.

The Government and the Committee also accepted none of the five amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the State Prosecutorial Council.

Neither did the Government and the Committee accept any of the three amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Judicial Academy.

The MPs had submitted six amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Court Fees, out of which the Government and the Committee accepted one.

The sitting was attended by Committee members Dragan Paunovic, Balint Pasztor, Biljana Ilic Stosic, Zivan Djurisic, Velinka Tosic, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Nedjo Jovanovic and Biljana Savovic.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic
