15th, 16th and 17th Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee
At the 15th, 16th and 17th sittings, held on 31 August 2026, the Security Services Control Committee considered and adopted the Military Security Agency Activity Report, Military Intelligence Agency Activity Report and the services’ Inspector General activity reports.
The Committee members gave a positive assessment of the Military Security Agency and the Military Intelligence Agency activity reports, as well as the services’ Inspector General activity reports, emphasising that they provided a comprehensive and high-quality insight into the work, activities and results of the security services in the reporting period.
The Committee noted that the Military Security Agency and the Military Intelligence Agency are successfully carrying out their tasks and that, within their competences, they act responsibly in dealing with challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia. The Committee also underlined the importance of further cooperation and coordination between the security services.
Based on the services’ Inspector General activity reports, the Committee determined that in the reporting period the security services acted in accordance with the law and their competences, and that in specific situations they reacted within the scope of their work and established procedures.
Committee Chairman, extended full support to members of the security services and the Ministry of Defence in their further work on strengthening the capabilities and combat readiness of the Serbian Armed Forces, which are of particular importance for preserving the security and stability of the Republic of Serbia and all its citizens.
He also wished them a successful military exercise at the Pester training ground, which will demonstrate the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the use and effects of modern combat equipment.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Jasmina Karanac, Ugljesa Markovic, Tomislav Jankovic, Darko Jovanovic, Goran Rakic and Aleksandar Ivanovic.
