32nd Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government
At the sitting held on 15 July, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government unanimously adopted the Bill on Misdemeanours, in principle, previously elaborated by representatives of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration.
In a short debate, the Committee members and Ministry representatives considered the articles of the Bill related to the official use of national minority languages and scripts, accountability of legal entities for misdemeanour, juvenile prisons and statute of limitations for crimes.
The Committee also discussed the Proposal of the Decision on the Election of Deputy Public Prosecutor, submitted by the State Prosecutorial Council, and decided to propose that the National Assembly accept the Proposal.
At the sitting, the Committee also discussed the Nomination for the Election of Anti-Corruption Agency Board Member, submitted by the President of the Republic, and decided to propose that the National Assembly accept the Nomination.
The Committee members went on to elect Nedjo Jovanovic and Nenad Konstantinovic member and substitute member of the Commission for the Implementation of the National Judiciary Reform Strategy.
The sitting was chaired by Petar Petrovic, Committee Chairman.
