19th Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy
At the sitting held on 3 April 2026, the members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy considered the following:
- Bill on Consumer Protection, in principle, submitted by the Government;
- Bill on Trade Practices for Certain Types of Products, in principle, submitted by the Government;
- Bill amending and modifying the Law on Trade, in principle, submitted by the Government;
- Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Cooperation in the Field of Tourism, submitted by the Government;
- Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Mutual Encouragement and Protection of Investments, submitted by the Government;
- Bill on the Confirmation of Decision No.1/2025 of the Serbia - United Kingdom Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Council of 23 December 2025 amending Protocol 3 concerning the definition of the concept of ‘originating products’ and methods of administrative cooperation to the Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, submitted by the Government;
- Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Korea on Encouragement and Protection of Investments, submitted by the Government;
- Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Japan on Encouragement and Protection of Investments, submitted by the Government;
- Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Development, Design, Construction and Operation of a Gas–Steam Cycle Power Plant in the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Government;
- Strategy Proposal for the Management of Mineral and Other Geological Resources of the Republic of Serbia until 2040 with projections to 2050, submitted by the Government;
- Ministry of Tourism and Youth Activity Report for the period 1 October – 31 December 2025;
- Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade Activity Report for the period 1 April – 30 June 2025;
- Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade Activity Report for the period 1 July – 30 September 2025;
- Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade Activity Report for the period 1 October – 31 December 2025;
- Ministry of Economy Activity Information for the period 1 October – 31 December 2025;
- Report on the Privatisation Process state-of-play for December 2025;
- Report on the Privatisation Process state-of-play for January 2026;
- Report on the Privatisation Process state-of-play for February 2026;
- Commission for Protection of Competition Annual Activity Report, and
- Ascertained the Proposal of the Decision to grant consent to the Statute of the Republic Commission on Energy Networks.
The bills listed under items 1 to 10 on the agenda were presented by representatives of the competent ministries after which the bills were adopted in principle by majority vote.
The Committee then proceeded to consider the activity information and reports of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth, Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economy, Commission for Protection of Competition and the Republic Commission on Energy Networks.
The Committee accepted the proposed documents.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Dusan Bajatovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Ivana Stamatovic, Miljana Milojevic, Ana Beloica Martac, Stanislava Janosevic, Tijana Davidovac, Nikola Radosavljevic, Goran Nikolic, Miroslav Kondic, Vojislav Vujic, Dragan Stanojevic, Dalibor Jokic, Zeljko Veselinovic and Prof. Dr Slobodan Cvejic.
