14th Sitting of the European Integration Committee
At the sitting held on 7 March, the members of the European Integration Committee discussed the Bill on Efficient Energy Use.
A representative of the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection spoke of the Bill, saying that one of the Bill’s goals is to implement the European Union directives Serbia obligated itself to by signing the Energy Community Treaty. She explained the chief mechanisms of the Bill such as energy management, energy reviews, energy efficiency budgetary fund etc.
Following a short discussion, the Committee adopted the Bill on Efficient Energy Use, in principle.
At the sitting, the Committee accepted the initiatives to send invitations to the Czech Senate’s Committee on European Union Affairs and a delegation of the Dutch Parliament’s lower house Committee on European Affairs.
This sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Milica Delevic.
