Četrdeseta sednica Zakonodavnog odbora održana je 13. oktobra 2004. godine. Predsedavao je predsednik Odbora Miloш Aligrudić.

Odbor je razmatrao i u načelu prihvatio Predlog zakona o izmenama Zakona o budžetu Republike Srbije za 2004. godinu.
Na sednici su razmatrani amandmani na Predlog zakona o slobodnom pristupu informacijama od javnog značaja, koji je podnela Vlada Republike Srbije. Odbor je od 38 podnetih amandmana na Predlog zakona, 37 ocenio da su pravno mogući.
