Head of PFG with Hungary Meets with Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Hungary, Marko Mladenovic, met in the National Assembly House, with the Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Serbia, Jozsef Magyar.

The officials agreed that the cooperation and good relations between the two countries are based on the exceptionally friendly relations resulting from the work and investment of the President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic and the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. That is why they believe that additional efforts should be made through parliamentary diplomacy to make sure the cooperation between the two countries continues to develop in a positive direction.

They also noted the extremely good living conditions of the Serbian national minority in Hungary and the Hungarian minority in the Republic of Serbia with the Ambassador particularly praising the formation of the National Councils of National Minorities, which additionally contribute to the preservation of the language, tradition and history of their people in the Republic of Serbia.

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Hungary pointed out that accession to the European Union remains our country’s primary foreign policy goal with the Hungarian Ambassador restating that Serbia can count on Hungary's support on its European path to full membership.
