World AIDS Day
On this day which brings together all the people in the world, the National Assembly would like to offer support and understanding to people suffering from AIDS and their families.
1 December is not just an international day of solidarity, it is also a day to remember those who are no longer with us. World AIDS Day has to remind us that HIV has not disappeared and therefore calls for a continuous raising of awareness about the illness throughout the year and the vital need to raise funds and further educate the citizens of Serbia.
People with AIDS lead difficult lives, facing fear of discrimination. Prevailing over taboos, prejudice and raising awareness will help prevent the spread of the epidemic.
