Thirty-Fourth Sitting of the Youth and Sports Committee
At the sitting held on 2 February the Youth and Sports Committee considered the Ministry of Youth and Sport Activity Information for the period 1 October-31 December 2011.
Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic Markovic presented the Ministry’s Activity Information in the last quarter of 2011 to the Committee members stressing its active efforts on the preparation of by-laws and the ministerial conference of the Council of Europe, highlighting the allocation of scholarships for 1000 new young talents from the Fund for Young Talents.
The Minister was pleased with the cooperation between the Ministry and the Youth and Sports Committee, announcing that the Ministry would soon be submitting the Activity Report of the Fund for Young Talents and Report on the implementation of the Sports Development Strategy in the last three years.
Following a debate, the Committee members unanimously adopted the Ministry of Youth and Sport Activity Information for the period 1 October-31 December 2011.
The Committee members went on to accept the invitation of the Russian Youth and Sports Association “Football Market” to take part in a football tournament to be held in Sochi from 19 to 22 April, organised by the abovementioned Association and the Russian Football Union and agreed to meet with the delegation of the Romanian Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies Committee for Education, Science, Youth and Sport between 22 and 26 February.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milan Vuckovic.
