Thirteenth Sitting of the Youth and Sports Committee
The Youth and Sports Committee held its thirteenth sitting on 5 November. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Milan Vuckovic, and attended by Snezana Samardzic-Markovic, Minister of Youth and Sports and associates.

The Committee members considered the Information on the activity of the Government of the
Minister Samardzic-Markovic briefed the Committee members on the activities of the Committee, created by a Government Decision on 28 May 2009, stressing that the whole society should participate in the fight against violence in sports, including the media. The Committee members, Minister and associates of the Ministry of Youth and Sports discussed initiatives and possible solutions, as well as the implementation of measures and activities regarding the prevention of violence in sport.
It was unanimously decided that the Committee for prevention of violence and misbehaviour in sports should submit a quarterly activity report to the Youth and Sports Committee. The decision was endorsed by Minister Samardzic-Markovic who declared the involvement and coordination of all state institutions essential.
In the continuation, the Committee unanimously decided to hold sittings outside of the National Assembly seat every three months. The Committee members unanimously accepted to hold the next Committee sitting on 17 November at the Republic Institute of Sport. At the sitting, they shall also consider the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ Information on the activities, projects and expenditures related to the revitalisation of the Republic Institute of Sport.
