Third Sitting of the Committee on the Rights of the Child

At the sitting held on 8 November, the members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child formulated an Agenda Proposal for the public hearing on “Protecting Children from Internet Abuse” and agreed that Ljiljana Lucic, Committee Deputy Chairperson, should chair the public hearing.

The Committee had adopted the Decision to organise the public hearing at the previous sitting, according to which it is to take place on 17 November 2012, in cooperation with UNICEF.
In the continuation, the Committee members decided to commemorate Universal Children's Day by visiting two Novi Sad schools - “Dr Milan Petrovic” elementary and high-school for children with developmental difficulties and persons with disabilities, and the regular school “Sonja Marinkovic” particularly dedicated to the implementation of inclusive education, where the Committee would hold a sitting.
The Committee Chairman informed the members that they would be deliberating on the 2013 Activity Plan of the Committee on the Rights of the Child at one of its upcoming sittings.

The sitting was chaired by MA Nebojsa Stefanovic, Committee Chairman.
