Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Blagojevic said that the Government established the Basis for the conclusion of the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Field of Plant Protection and Plant Quarantine by the Conclusion passed at the session held on 16 March 2018, and authorized Branislav Nedimovic, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, to sign said Agreement on behalf of the Government.

The Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Field of Plant Protection and Plant Quarantine was signed in Belgrade, on 21 June 2018. The Agreement deals with issues of importance for the two countries’ cooperation in the field of plant quarantine and protection.

Following a discussion, the Committee accepted the Bill.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic, attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Momir Stojilkovic, Jelisaveta Veljkovic, Olja Petrovic, Velibor Stanojlovic, Nenad Filipovic, Milija Miletic, Dr Ljubinko Rakonjac, Stanislava Janosevic, Nikola Kozovic, Arpad Fremond, Veroljub Matic, Tijana Davidovac and Zarko Bogatinovic.
