Talks with Slovenian parliamentary delegation on ethnic minority rights
A delegation of the Committee on Inter-ethnic Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia met a delegation of the Commission on Relations with Slovenians Living Abroad of the Slovenian Parliament.
A delegation of the Committee on Inter-ethnic Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia met a delegation of the Commission on Relations with Slovenians Living Abroad of the Slovenian Parliament.
The meeting focused on improving parliamentary co-operation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Slovenia. The delegation of the Committee on Inter-ethnic Relations stressed the support of Slovenia’s support for the incorporation of Serbia and Montenegro into European integrations.
Legislation relating to the accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union was presented to the Commission on Relations with Slovenians Living Abroad of the Slovenian Parliament.
The two delegations discussed the formation of a Slovenian National Council in Serbia. The chairman of the Committee on Inter-ethnic Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Esad Dzudzevic, stressed that there were over five thousand Slovenians in Serbia, so that the formation of the Council was legally possible.
