Social Democratic Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group Meets with Swedish Social Democratic Party Delegation
The members of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group met today, at the National Assembly House, with a delegation of the Swedish Social Democratic Party to discuss intensifying cooperation at the parliamentary level and within parliamentary groups.
The members of the delegation of the Swedish Social Democratic Party were interested in the Republic of Serbia’s relationship with its neighbouring countries especially as regards Euro-integration and the state’s positioning regarding the opening of new negotiation chapters. The Head of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group explained that Serbia is ready to open new negotiation chapters and is working hard to harmonise its legislation with the EU’s.
The officials also spoke about the migrant crisis, wherein the members of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group said that the Republic of Serbia had shown itself to be humane, socially sensitive and capable of handling one of the biggest challenges troubling the entire European continent.
