Sixth Sitting of the European Integration Committee

At the sitting held on 29 March 2023, the members of the European Integration Committee reviewed the Report on the Republic of Serbia’s EU Accession Negotiations in the course of the Check presidency, submitted by the Government.

The Report was presented by Minister of European Integration Prof. Dr Tanja Miscevic through a breakdown per cluster 1-6, then per chapter outside of the clusters. The reporting period saw intensive work on preparations of negotiation documents and standards for chapter opening and closing, said the Minister.

Following a debate the Committee adopted the Report on the Republic of Serbia’s EU Accession Negotiations in the course of the Check presidency and proposed that the National Assembly accept the Report.

The Committee members were also informed about the Conclusion on the adoption of the Report on the implementation of the National Programme for Adoption of the Acquis Communautaire (NPAA), for the third quarter of 2022 and the Report on the implementation of the National Programme for Adoption of the Acquis Communautaire (NPAA), for the fourth quarter of 2022, adopted by the Government at the session held on 23 March 2023.

The Committee also selected a delegation to take part in the Plenary Meeting of the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC), to be held under the auspices of the parliamentary dimension of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, to be held 14-16 May 2023 in Stockholm, the Kingdom of Sweden, comprising Elvira Kovacs, Ana Miljanic and Natan Albahari.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Elvira Kovacs, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Stanislava Janosevic, Goran Milic, Mrina Ragus, Milica Obradovic, Zagorka Aleksic, Dr Jelena Kalajdzic, Dunja Bratic Simonovic, Dubravka Filipovski, Ksenija Markovic, Prof. Dr Andreja Savic, Robert Kozma, Predrag Marsenic and Ana Beolica Martac.
