Sixth Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 22 December 2020, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the Bill amending the Law on Civil Servants, Bill amending the Law on Public Service Employees, Bill amending the Law on Salary System of Public Sector Employees, Bill amending the Law on Salaries of Civil Servants and General Service Employees in Bodies of Autonomous Provinces and Local Self-Government Units and the Bill amending the Law on Salaries of Employees of Public Agencies and Other Organizations Founded by the Republic of Serbia, Autonomous Province or Local Self-Government Unit, submitted by the Government.

The bills were presented by Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Marija Obradovic who said that they needed to be amended primarily due to the complex epidemiological situation which had complicated the functioning of all of the public sector systems making it impossible to conduct the measures and activities needed to switch over to the salary system for the coming year.

Following the Minister’s presentation the Committee adopted all the bills in principle and concluded the sitting.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Djordje Dabic, Nenad Baros, Sanja Brankovic Jeftic, Sanja Lakic, Dejan Kesar, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Toma Fila, Velibor Milojicic, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Marijan Risticevic and Milica Nikolic.
