Sixth Sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija

At its sixth sitting, held on 7 June 2021 and closed to the public, the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija considered the information on the current security situation in Kosovo-Metohija from the aspect of endangerment of the Serbian people by the so-called Kosovo Security Forces.

The Committee strongly opposes the transformation of the so-called KSF into "Kosovo Army" and demands that UN Security Council Resolution 1244 be respected, which excludes the existence of "Kosovo Army".

The Committee believes that the so-called KSF and their transformation into "Kosovo Army" is a factor that critically endangers the security and survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija.

The Committee condemns the intensive procurement of military equipment, weapons and ammunition for the so-called KBS - strengthening of the covert presence and preparation for activities by the so-called KSF in northern Kosovo, as well as the pressure on Serbs to become members of the so-called KBS.

The Committee will intensively monitor the security situation in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija and endangerment of the security of the Serbian people and undertake all necessary activities within its competence to provide support to the Serbian people to be safe and survive in Kosovo-Metohija.
