Sixth Sitting of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality
At the sitting held on 24 August 2026, the members of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality considered, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Churches and Religious Communities, submitted by the Government.
The Bill was presented by Assistant Minister of Justice Jovan Cosic, after which the Committee accepted it, in principle.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Aleksandar Markovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Lepomir Ivkovic, Ugljesa Grgur, Prof. Dr Marko Milenkovic, Dragana Radinovic, Ivan Karic, Boris Bajic, Jasmina Karanac, Prof. Dr Slobodan Cvejic and Rastislav Dinic.
