Seventh Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee

At a sitting held on 27 December 2022, the members of the Environmental Protection Committee considered the following item on the agenda:

  1. The basis for the accession of the Republic of Serbia to the Agreement between the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) and non-member States of the European Union on the participation of the latter in the arrangements of the European Community Urgent Radiological Information Exchange (ECURIE) and the text of the Agreement between the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) and non-member States of the European Union on the participation of the latter in the arrangements of the European Community Urgent Radiological Information Exchange (ECURIE), to grant consent of the competent committee for the provisional implementation of the Agreement pending its coming into force.
The item was presented by Branko Brajic, Assistant Director of the Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate, and Vedrana Vuletic, head of the Directorate’s Monitoring, Control and Emergency Situations Department, was also present.

Following a discussion that followed, the Committee passed a Decision granting consent for the provisional implementation of the Agreement pending its coming into force. The Report on the approval of the provisional implementation of the Agreement will be sent to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for further action.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Aleksandar Jovanovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dusan Radojevic, Milimir Vujadinovic, Branislav Josifovic, Marija Jovanovic, Prof. Dr Zoran Radojicic, Milan Glusac, Jasmin Hodzic, Prof. Dr Branimir Jovancicevic, Dusan Maric, Marijan Risticevic, Zoran Stojanovic, Ivan Karic, Milija Miletic, Dejan Bulatovic and Ivana Parlic.
