Serbian and Indonesian Parliamentary Delegations Meet

A delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee, headed by its Chairman Milos Aligrudic, met today, at the National Assembly House, with a delegation of the Indonesia-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the People’s Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia, headed by Milton Pakpahan.


The officials agreed that the political relations between Serbia and Indonesia have been excellent for decades which, along with the traditional friendship between the two countries, provides a solid basis for the improvement of economic and all other types of cooperation.
They especially emphasised that, in addition to bilateral cooperation, the two countries cooperate at the international level and support one another in the struggle to maintain integrity and sovereignty, stressing that peace in the world can be preserved only by abiding by international law.
The head of the Indonesian parliamentary delegation stated that Jakarta highly appreciates Serbia’s decision to support the territorial integrity of Indonesia and stressed that Indonesia would continue to support Serbia’s territorial integrity and the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Aligrudic reminded that Serbia and Indonesia also enjoy excellent cooperation in the United Nations.
The delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee comprised MPs Borislav Stefanovic, Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, Marija Obradovic, Milica Dronjak, Slavica Saveljic, Zlata Djeric, Irena Vujovic, Natasa Vuckovic, Ljubica Vasic and Ljubisa Stoimirovic.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Serbia, Samuel Samson, also took part in the meeting.
