Second Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 9 October, the Foreign Affairs Committee adopted the Report on International Cooperation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2007. The sitting was chaired by Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic, the Committee Chairman. In the continuation of the sitting, several reports were adopted on realised visits and contacts of Serbian parliamentarians with the parliamentarians and diplomatic representatives of other countries this year.
The Committee members discussed and adopted the Proposal for the formation of deputy friendship groups with 43 countries and five regions, whose procedure of constitution began in the previous convocation of the National Assembly. It was also agreed that every deputy group nominate three to five of its deputies for the friendship groups, according to their affinities, and that the groups should have no more than 25 members.
At the sitting, the Committee members requested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to regularly inform them on its current activities, as well as to forward analyses of international events to them.
