Second Sitting of the Administrative Committee
At the sitting held on 1 July, the Administrative Committee considered the resignation of Predrag Umicevic from the function of deputy at the National Assembly.
At the sitting held on 1 July, the Administrative Committee considered the resignation of Predrag Umicevic from the function of deputy at the National Assembly. The Committee determined that the tendering of resignation of Predrag Umicevic to the function of deputy at the National Assembly, elected from the “For European Serbia – Boris Tadic” electoral list, falls under article 88 paragraph 1 item 2 of the Law on Election of Deputies where tendering of resignation is listed as one of the reasons for the expiration of deputy’s mandate before the end of the term he was elected for. Therefore, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly acknowledge the end of deputy Predrag Umicevic’s mandate under article 88 paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Law.
This, they said, allows the election of a new deputy by assigning a mandate to another candidate by the submitter of the electoral list in question, under article 92 of the Law on Election of Deputies.
The sitting of the Administrative Committee was chaired by the Committee Chairman Tomislav Nikolic.
