A public discussion on the Local Authorities Funding Bill was held on Thursday 8 June at the National Assembly building. The discussion was organised by the Local Self-Government Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, while presentations regarding the Bill were held by Tomislav Novovic, head of the UNDP Serbia’s Decentralisation and Local Governance Division, and Djordje Stanicic, Secretary General of the Standing Conference of Cities and Municipalities. The discussion was also taken part in by the debate moderator, Sava Urosevic; the chairman of the Local Self-Government Committee, deputy Sredoje Mihajlov; deputy Branko Stipanovic; Biserka Pavlovic of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia; and Anthony Levitas of the USAID Local Governance Reform Programme.
