President offers best wishes for upcoming holidays
President of the National Assembly and acting President of the Republic, Natasa Micic, offered best wishes for Easter holidays to all believers who celebrate this holiday according to the new (Gregorian) calendar.
President of the National Assembly and acting President of the Republic, Natasa Micic, offered best wishes for Easter holidays to all believers who celebrate this holiday according to the new (Gregorian) calendar. In a message to the Roman Catholic Archbishopric of Belgrade, the Slovak Evangelical Church and the Christian Reformist Church, Ms. Micic wished these religious communities an Easter celebrated in peace and with ever stronger faith in a better future. "Let us use the occasion of this great holiday to cement still deeper the friendship and cordial relations between citizens of different religious communities", the message goes on to say.
Natasa Micic also expressed best wishes to the Union of Jewish Municipalities of Serbia and Montenegro, as well as to all members of the Jewish community, for the holiday of Passover.
To Pavle, the Serbian Patriarch, Ms. Micic expressed best wishe on occasion of his patron saint's day, Lazar's Saturday, with wishes for him to "long remain the moral and spiritual bulwark of all Orthodox believers".
