The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic supported the Serbian doctors’ charity ball declaring it very significant that the physicians got together to help their youngest fellow citizens. She deemed it an indicator of humanity and an act in keeping with the tradition of assisting those who need assistance the most.

Stating that Serbia has excellent experts around the world, Djukic-Dejanovic, member of the honorary board of the Days of Serbian Medical Diaspora 2011 conference, said that in its respect of the doctrine and knowledge health care in Serbia does not lag behind health care in Europe. According to her, in the upcoming period efforts should be expended to raise the level of assistance to the most endangered categories.

Raising funds for the purchase of the incubator for prematurely born babies was endorsed by the State Secretaries at the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Religions and the Diaspora, Perisa Simonovic and Predrag Tojic respectively.
