PFG with Republic of Korea Meets with Ambassador Kim Hyung

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Korea Vladimir Pajic met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Serbia Kim Hyung.

The meeting was also attended by PFG members Dr Jelena Jerinic and MA Jadranka Jovanovic.

In a cordial and open talk the officials considered the opportunities for advancing interparliamentary cooperation with a special focus on the development of economic relations and opening up room for investments, including the possibility of engaging Korean conglomerates in Serbia.

PFG Head Vladimir Pajic stressed that the Republic of Korea is an important foreign trade partner for Serbia and that there is significant potential to expand cooperation in the spheres of defence industry production, pharmacology, medicine and especially culture and art.

The officials discussed concrete ideas for joint projects, exchanged opinions related to the process of public administration reform and highlighted the importance of institutional cooperation between the two parliaments for the advancement of bilateral relations.

They opined that the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and the Republic of Korea, as well as more than 30 year of diplomatic relations, are a strong foundation for the further strengthening of overall cooperation.
