PFG Delegation in Official Visit to Algeria

The National Assembly's Parliamentary Friendship Group with the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, comprising PFG Head Goran Rakic, and PFG members MA Jadranka Jovanovic, Dr Muarem Bacevac, Dijana Radovic and Marko Milosevic, is in an official visit to Algeria from 9 to 13 February 2026 at the invitation of Samira Barhoum, Head of the Algeria-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group, with the aim of improving parliamentary and overall bilateral cooperation.

On the first day of the visit, the delegation met with Guzo Tofik, Mohamed Abdenour Rabehi, Governor-Minister, as well as the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Algeria, led by Samira Barhoum and Deputy Speaker of the People's National Assembly Mohamed Anouar.

In the meetings with the representatives of the Algerian National Assembly, the officials discussed issues of common interest, such as cooperation in the fields of trade, culture and education, with special emphasis on strengthening the traditional friendship between Serbia and Algeria, expressing their readiness to help their further improvement.

The Head of the PFG with Algeria, Goran Rakic, thanked his hosts for their principled stance, respect for international law, and the UN resolution regarding the non-recognition of e so-called Kosovo.
