Ninth Sitting of the European Integration Committee

At the sitting held on 20 November 2024, the members of the European Integration Committee considered, in principle, the Bill on Export and Import of Dual-Use Goods, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Reproductive Material of Forest Trees, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Recognition of Agricultural Plant Varieties, Bill amending and modifying the Value Added Tax Law, Bill amending and modifying the Excise Tax Law, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Games of Chance, Bill on Services and the Bill amending and modifying the Energy Law, all submitted by the Government, and appointed a member and substitute member of the Working Group for the amendment of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference of the European Integration/Affairs Committees of States Participating in the Stabilisation and Association Process of the South-East Europe (COSAP).

The bills were presented by Milanka Davidovic, Head of the International Cooperation Department on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management; Stevan Nikcevic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade; Jasmina Roskic, Department Head on behalf of the Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade; Dusica Stojanovic of the Fiscal System Sector and Sonja Nikolic, Excise, Tobacco and Fiscal Registers Department, Fiscal System Sector on behalf of the Ministry of Finance and Rade Mrdak, Ministry Advisor, Neda Mijatovic, Electric Power Sector and Olivera Gudzulic, also of the Electric Power Sector on behalf of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, as well as Zoran Gasic, Director of the Games of Chance Administration, Ministry of Finance.

The Committee proposed that the National Assembly accept the bills in principle.

The Committee members also proposed, by majority vote, that the members of the delegation be Elvira Kovacs and Dr Ana Jakovljevic

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Elvira Kovacs, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dr Aleksandra Tomic, Dubravka Filipovski, Stanislava Janosevic, Goran Milic, Sanja Dzajic, Milan Radin, Dunja Bratic Simonovic, Dr Tijana Peric Diligenski, Zagorka Aleksic, Branislav Josifovic, Djordje Stankovic and Ana Miljanic.
