Ninth Meeting of National Assembly Economic Caucus

At its ninth meeting, held on 23 February, the Economic Caucus met with the representatives of the economic community to discuss the current situation in the economy and possible activities the National Assembly could employ to improve the business environment in Serbia.

The Head of the Economic Caucus, Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic said that the Caucus members consider it very important to develop relations and communication with representatives of the economic community in order to create better legislation, suitable to the needs of the economy and the market. He stressed that the National Assembly with its legislative and control duties plays a significant role in creating a favourable business environment for both domestic and foreign investors. MP Zoran Babic said that entrepreneurs should be the engine of development and change in Serbia, adding that cooperation and communication between the entrepreneurs and representatives of the National Assembly is very important as both sides can greatly contribute to the achievement of progress. “We are on the same team”, stressed Babic.
The meeting of the Economic Caucus was attended by representatives of different economic sectors, NALED, IRI and NGOs.

The Head of the Economic Caucus, Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic presided over the meeting.
