National Assembly Takes Part in National Security Policy Seminar in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
A delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia will take part in the National Security Policy Seminar, organised by the George Marshall European Centre for Security Studies from 17 to 19 October 2012, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, FR Germany.
In the course of the seminar the members of the National Assembly delegation will have the chance to discuss topics such as the role of parliamentarians in state governance, the European Union and European security and defence policy, the role of parliaments in defence budgeting, NATO and the Partnership for Peace, the rule of law and governance, experience acquired on the role of parliaments in security matters and foreign affairs, security sector reform, role of committees in foreign affairs, as well as the role of parliaments in the fight against corruption.
The National Assembly delegation comprises the MPs Dejan Radenkovic, Jadranka Joksimovic, Igor Becic, Nenad Konstantinovic, Bojan Kostres, Elvira Kovacs, Konstantin Samofalov, Jelena Trivan, Maja Videnovic, Meho Omerovic, Sasa Milenic, Irena Vujovic and Ivan Andric, and the cost of the delegation's participation in the seminar will be covered by the organiser.
