National Assembly Standing Delegation at 56th PABSEC General Assembly

The National Assembly standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), headed by MA Igor Becic and comprising delegation members Milija Miletic and Zoltan Pek, took part in the 56th PABSEC General Assembly held online on 24 November 2020.

In addition to the Republic of Serbia, the assembly was attended by delegations from all the PABSEC member states - Armenia, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.

In his capacity as Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, MA Igor Becic, head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to PABSEC, chaired the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly in the part dedicated to economic issues.

He also presented the financial reports in his capacity as PABSEC Vice-President in charge of financial issues.

The 56th PABSEC General Assembly also adopted the Parliamentary Assembly’s recommendations and reports on: "The Role of Parliaments in Combating Pandemic - Economic Aspects", "The Role of Parliaments in Combating Pandemic - Legal and Political Aspects" and "The Role of Parliaments in Combating Pandemic - Social Aspects". In the course of the session, the members of the national delegations also highlighted the challenges their countries are facing in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
