National Assembly Speaker’s Statement on Latest Hague Tribunal Verdict
“For the second time, the Hague Tribunal has acquitted Ramush Haradinaj of the charge for war crimes committed against civilians in the course of 1998, sending the message by the verdict that it is allowed to kill Serbs.
The acquittal is a scandal and a heavy blow to international law and justice.
This tribunal has no legitimacy and can no longer be called a “just court”.
The verdict issued to Haradinaj, as well as the verdict issued to the Croatian generals, will hamper the process of reconciliation in the region, and the horrific crimes committed against Kosovo Serbs will remain unpunished.”
