National Assembly Speaker to Attend Requiem for 1990s War Victims
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, MA Nebojsa Stefanovic, will attend the requiem for the victims of the 1990s wars at the Orthodox Cathedral (Saborna crkva) in Belgrade, on Sunday, 25 November 2012, at 11.30 am.
After the requiem, a procession headed by the Assembly Speaker and First Deputy Prime Minister will take a peaceful protest walk. The procession will walk from the Orthodox Cathedral, down Prince Mihailo Street, via Terazije and Nikola Pasic Square to the National Assembly House.
The President of the Coalition of Refugee Associations in the Republic of Serbia, Miodrag Linta, will present the National Assembly Speaker with a request to convene a special assembly sitting and a proposal of a Resolution on respect of human rights of Serbian refugees and exiles and other affected citizens from former Yugoslav republics.
