National Assembly Speaker on Elections for National Minority Councils
“The National Councils of National Minorities responsible for making decisions or individually deciding on matters of culture, education, information and official use of language and script for the purpose of exercising the collective right of national minorities to self-governance are no substitute for political parties nor will they ever be. The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia had passed the Law amending and modifying the Law on National Councils of National Minorities which was endorsed by the Parliament and during the drafting process by all the stakeholders.
