National Assembly Speaker at Opening of Annual Judges’ Symposium

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic attended the opening of the Annual Symposium of Judges on Zlatibor, organised by the Supreme Court of Cassation and High Judicial Council.


Addressing the participants National Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic stressed that the judiciary is an extremely honourable profession and one of the pillars of government which greatly contributes to reform aimed at improving the lives of the citizens and Serbia’s reputation in the world. The National Assembly Speaker said that that some of the topics of the gathering refer to the latest amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and Civil Procedure Law.

 

The Annual Symposium of Judges was opened by the President of the Supreme Court of Cassation and High Judicial Council Nata Mesarovic. The opening was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dacic, Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic, President of the Constitutional Court Dragisa Slijepcevic, War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic and Police Chief Milorad Veljovic. The Annual Symposium gathers more 1200 judges and attorneys from the country and region.
