The officials stressed that the relations between Serbia and Norway are excellent, friendly and on the rise in many aspects. Minister Stoere emphasised that Norway fully supports Serbia’s efforts toward joining the EU and that Serbia’s accession to the EU would prove significant for the further development of the two countries’ bilateral relations. The National Assembly Speaker’s visit to Norway was deemed conducive to promoting parliamentary cooperation which is exceedingly important for the improvement of bilateral relations.

Djukic Dejanovic thanked Norway for its support of both Serbia and the Balkans as a whole on their road to Euro-integration. At the Norwegian side’s request, the National Assembly Speaker provided detailed information on Serbia’s position regarding the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and Serbia’s view of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic laid a wreath at the Memorial of Yugoslav Prisoners of War at the Vestre Gravlund cemetery.
