National Assembly Speaker Receives Japanese Ambassador in Farewell Visit
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, MA Nebojsa Stefanovic, received H.E. Toshio Tsunozaki, Japanese Ambassador to Serbia whose mandate is nearly at an end, in a farewell visit.
Speaker Stefanovic thanked Ambassador Tsunozaki most profoundly for the Japanese Government and people’s continuous help to the Republic of Serbia via donations and project funding. Stefanovic emphasised the Japanese Ambassador’s personal contribution to the overall development of the relations between the two countries, primarily by initiating more intense parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Japan.
Ambassador Tsunozaki thanked Speaker Stefanovic for the formation of the parliamentary friendship group with Japan. He shared his firm belief that Serbian and Japanese parliamentarians would soon exchange visits.
The officials deemed the political relations between the two countries very good, adding that the upcoming period should see more efforts expanded toward the development of economic, cultural and other types of cooperation.
