Speaking of the successful bilateral cooperation of the two countries, the National Assembly Speaker emphasised the excellent cooperation with the soon to leave Ambassador. He said he was pleased by the rising interest of Australian investors in Serbia, especially in the spheres of mining and agriculture. He also opined that the ongoing improvement of infrastructure in Serbia would serve as a good basis for the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Helena Studdert underlined the importance of the ongoing fight against corruption in Serbia as an additional stepping stone in Serbia’s economic development and approach to the EU. She opined that, in the course of her term of office in Serbia, the country had made considerable progress as regards reform.
Speaker Stefanovic also informed Ambassador Studdert about the intensive regional cooperation and Serbia’s activities in that context aimed at boosting overall, and especially economic, development and stability.
