National Assembly Speaker Meets with PACE Monitoring Committee Delegation

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, met with a delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Monitoring Committee.

The officials exchanged opinions on current issues concerning the electoral process, with particular emphasis on the implementation of relevant international recommendations and further improvement of the institutional framework.

They also discussed cooperation with the Venice Commission, as well as the importance of transparency and trust in the work of competent institutions.

They went on to emphasise the importance of continuing constructive dialogue and cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe with the aim of strengthening democratic standards.
