National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Sends Telegram of Condolences on Death of Predrag Maric

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic sent a telegram of condolences on the death of Head of the Sector for Emergency Situations and Assistant Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia Predrag Maric.

“It was with deep sadness that I received the news of the death of my former colleague and good friend Predrag Maric.

During the years spent in the Ministry of the Interior, I had the privilege to cooperate with Predrag Maric, a great professional whose dedication and hard work greatly contributed to the work of the Ministry. He was with the citizens in the most difficult situations, which, unfortunately, were many. He always put their safety first and performed his duty in a fast and efficient manner, while remaining calm and composed.

The COVID-19 pandemic changed the lives of all of us, unfortunately, tragically taking the lives of many colleagues and friends. Such sad events always catch us unprepared. The death of Predrag Maric is an irreparable loss both for his family and for our country.

I sympathize with the pain of Predrag's departure and express my sincerest condolences to the member of his family."
