National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Sends Condolences on Death of Vukasin Jokanovic

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic sent his deepest condolences on the death of Vukasin Jokanovc, former Federal Minister of the Interior and National Assembly Deputy Speaker:

"It was with great sadness that I received the news that our friend Vukasin Jokanovic, a great patriot who had dedicated his whole life, not only his professional and political career, to the well-being of his country, has left us. He held the highest state positions, was the federal minister of the interior, long-term member of the Serbian Parliament, as well as its deputy speaker, and in each of these positions he fought to protect Serbia's people and its sovereignty.

He lived in a time of great changes and great suffering, especially in his Kosovo-Metohija, to which he devoted all of his energy. His Serbia, Kosovo-Metohija, his Gnjilane, will remember Vukasin Jokanovic as their great son.

We, who had the honour to work with him and learn from him how to love one's country and fight for it, will remember him. Allow me to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Vukasin Jokanovic".
